Sometimes we don’t need another routine, another programme, or another person telling us how to fix ourselves.
Sometimes we simply need somewhere to slow down.
A little space. A little quiet. A chance to breathe and come back to ourselves.
I’m Christina Bitanga. For many years, I’ve worked with people through guided practices, energy work, intimate retreats and experiences created around rest, reconnection and feeling more at home in yourself.
Over time, my work has become simpler.
Less about doing more.
More about learning how to listen to ourselves again.
The Double Touch Method began with a 26-minute audio practice I created almost entirely from instinct.
The idea was simple.
Instead of lying still while someone else does the work, you use your own hands.
With my voice guiding you, you move your hands to different areas of your body and through the chakra points, one by one.
I guide you through where to place your hands, what we traditionally associate with that area, and what you might want to gently calm, soothe or release.
Tension. Overwhelm. Anger. Fear. Heartache. Restlessness. The thoughts that simply won’t quiet down.
There is nothing to force.
You listen. You place your hands. You breathe. You notice.
There are two parts to the practice.
The first touch is yours.
Your own hands create the physical connection with your body.
The second is my guidance.
When you’re practicing alone, my voice accompanies you through the audio. When we practice together in person, I guide you while my hands can work above or alongside yours.
You are not simply receiving something from me.
You are participating in your own practice.
And that is the heart of the Double Touch Method.
Over the years, more than 50,000 people have practiced with me through my guided meditations, courses and audio practices on Insight Timer.
There are practices for sleep, relaxation, self-healing, stress, Reiki and those days when everything simply feels like too much.
Some are only a few minutes.
Others go deeper and are practices you can return to whenever you need them.
You don’t need experience with meditation.
Find somewhere comfortable. Put on your headphones. And begin.
I’m beginning to create my next intimate retreat.
And I already know what I don’t want it to be.
I don’t want every hour scheduled.
I don’t want people rushing from one activity to another.
And I don’t want you to leave needing a holiday from your retreat.
I want there to be space.
Space to sleep. Space to move. Space for guided practices and the Double Touch Method.
Space for beautiful food and long conversations.
Space to learn about taking care of ourselves as we get older.
And enough free time to disappear for an afternoon and do absolutely nothing if that’s what you need.
It will be intentionally small.
The details are still being created, but you can join the interest list and I’ll let you know first when the next retreat is ready.
Experience the guided self-touch practice I developed through audio practices, private work and retreats.
Meditations, courses and audio practices you can use wherever you are in the world.
Sleep. Rest. Relaxation. Self-healing. Feeling grounded. Coming back to yourself.
Small, intimate retreats with enough structure to support you and enough freedom to let you breathe.
I’m increasingly interested in what it means not simply to live longer, but to live well as we get older.
Sleep. Strength. Stress. Menopause. Movement. Connection. Rest. And the everyday choices that influence how we feel in the years ahead.
I’m continuing to study and explore longevity and midlife wellbeing, and you’ll see more of this becoming part of my work, writing and future retreats.
But you won’t find hundreds of photographs of the people who’ve attended them on this website.
That’s intentional.
People sometimes come to retreats during very private periods of their lives.
They may be exhausted. Grieving. Starting again. Going through a relationship change. Questioning what comes next. Or simply needing a few days away from everyone who needs something from them.
I’ve never believed that attending a retreat should automatically mean becoming part of someone’s social media content.
So I’ve always been careful about what I share.
You’ll see the places.
The tables before dinner.
The mats before everyone arrives.
The flowers, the food, the sea, the little details and some of the beautiful places where we’ve gathered.
And when people are shown, it will be because they’re comfortable being shown.
Their stories remain theirs.
Bali is a place I've returned to again and again. A place where I've practiced, created, facilitated retreats and found my own way back to stillness many times.
Palawan connects me to the Philippines, where I'm originally from, and to an island culture that has always been part of who I am.
And Ibiza brings that island feeling closer to my life in Spain — the sea, nature, freedom, simplicity and the possibility of creating something beautiful much closer to home.
You may see future retreats, gatherings and experiences appearing in all three.
I write about the things I’m actually thinking about and living through.
Getting older. Starting again. Feeling overwhelmed. Learning when to stop. Rest. Boundaries. Longevity. Being alone sometimes. The changing body. And the small things I’m learning along the way.
I call it Come Home to Calm.
Not because life is always calm.
But because I think we can learn how to find our way back there.

Maybe you just need somewhere quiet enough to hear yourself again.
That might be a 10-minute practice at home.
It might be placing your own hands on your body and listening.
It might be reading something that makes you feel a little less alone.
Or it might be getting on a plane and spending a few days with me on an island.
Start wherever feels right.
I write occasionally about the things I’m thinking about, questioning and trying myself — from sleep
and getting older to relationships, longevity and simply learning when to stop.
